cancel call waiting

Cancel the Call Waiting feature before placing an important call or dialing up to the Internet. This feature is automatically available with Call Waiting for no extra charge.

To Cancel Call Waiting

1. Pick-up handset. After you hear the dial tone, press *70. (Rotary phones, dial 1170.)
2. You will again hear a dial tone. Dial the telephone number as normal.
3. Upon completion of the call, the Call Waiting feature will automatically reactivate. Note: This feature can only be initiated before a call is placed, unless you subscribe to Three Way Calling.
4. If you have Three Way Calling, you can deactivate the Call Waiting feature when you're already talking. Simply depress then release, the hookswitch quickly. Then dial *70. (Rotary phones, dial 1170.) You will be returned to your call automatically.
